Congratulations to the new PhD  Paulina Palujanskienė on successfully defending her doctoral dissertation “The Expression of Educational Factors of Sports Service in the Context of a Learning Organisation” (Education Sciences (S 007), scientifc supervisor – prof. dr. Biruta Švagždienė) and on obtaining the degree of doctor of Social Sciences in the  field of Educational Sciences.

The dissertation is available at the Lithuanian University of Sport,  6 Sporto  St, Kaunas.

A  brief annotation is presented below:

The object of the research is the expression of educational factors of sports service in the context of school as a learning organisation. The aim of the study is to determine the peculiarities of the expression of educational factors of sports service in the context of a school as a learning organisation.

The reseach  objectives: 1) To theoretically justify the aspects of the development of the school as a learning organisation; 2) To theoretically justify the aspects of the development of the educational factors of the sports service in the school; 3) To reveal the theoretical assumptions of the interaction between the development of the educational factors of the sports service and the school as a learning organisation; 4) To identify the empirically based peculiarities of the development of the school as a learning organisation and the development of the educational factors of the sports service; and 5) To reveal the theoretical assumptions of the interaction between the development of the educational factors of the sports service and the practical assumptions of the interaction between the sports service and the school as a learning organisation.
On the basis of the problematic questions the dissertation provides research results (hypotheses). Schools actively apply the principles of a learning organisation in their activities, thus schools act as learning organisations; H2. Pupils care about the content of the sports services organised at school and their own or other pupils’ well-being during them; parents’ opinions are important to pupils, but do not have the final influence on their decisions; H3. Strengthening the characteristics of a learning organisation in a school is linked to a change in the potential of the educational factors of the sports service.
