Education Forum “Reality of Education Revealed and Practical Solutions for the Future”

On the 22th of December in  2022, the 20th Education Forum “Reality of Education Revealed and Practical Solutions for the Future” was held topresent the doctoral dissertations and postdoctoral researches in the field of education that completed in 2022.  Introduction was presented by prof. dr. Romualdas Malinauskas (Chair of the Joint Doctoral Committee in Education of Lithuanian Sport, Kaunas University of Technology and Vilnius University), prof. dr. Valdonė Indrašienė (Vice-Chair of the Joint Doctoral Committee in Education of Mykolas Romeris, Vilnius University and Klaipėda University), and prof. dr. Vilma Žydžiūnaitė (Chair of the Doctoral Committee in Education of Vytautas Magnus University).
Doctoral students and researchers who participated in the postdoctoral fellowship together with their supervisors shared their scientific findings.  Key- note speakers: dr. On the 24th of November in 2022, the 19th Education Forum “Informatic Thinking on the Road to Digital Transformation: How not to Get Lost?”. The key-note ,,Informatic Thinking on the Road to Digital Transformation: How not to Get Lost?”. was presented by prof. dr. 2050On the 27 th of October in 2022.  The 18th Education Forum ”The Future of the Lithuanian General Education School. What Will We Count: Do We Calculate or Imagine?”  took place. What will We count: Do We Calculate or Imagine?”.   Keynote speech “The Future of the Lithuanian General Education School. What Will We Count: Do We Calculate or Imagine?”  was presented by prof. dr. Lilija Duoblienė, professor of the Institute of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Philosophy, Vilnius University. The report was prepared under the LMT-funded project “Futuristic Projections of General Education School” (No. S-MIP-20-58, 2020-2022). Scientific group: L. Duoblienė (head), S. Kontrimienė, J. Garbauskaitė-Jakimovska, J. Vaitekaitis. The discussion was attended by dr. Lina Bairašauskienė (Director of Vilnius Maironis Secondary School), dr. Education Forum ''Science and Studies in Lithuania in the European Context – Are We Moving Towards Humboldt?''

On the 30th of  June, 2022  the Educational Forum “Science and Studies in Lithuania in the European context – Are We Moving Towards Humboldt?”  was held. The introduction was given by prof. Artūras Žukauskas (Chair of the Education and Science Committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania). Keynote speech “Science and Studies in Lithuania in the European Context – Are We Moving Towards Humboldt?” Insights from the Lithuanian case study APIKS” was read by prof. dr. Liudvika Leišytė (Professor of Dortmund University of Technology (Germany), coordinator of the Lithuanian case study APIKS (Academic Profession in Knowledge-Based Societies)). In the discussion participated dr. Ineta Dabašinskienė (Professor of Vytautas Magnus University, Institutional Coordinator of Transform4EU Alliance of European Universities), prof. habil. dr. Palmira Jucevičienė (professor at Kaunas University of Technology, member of the board of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association, head of the Science Policy and Analysis Department of the Lithuanian Science Council), dr. Eugenijus Stumbrys (Head of the Science Policy and Analysis Department of the Lithuanian Science Council), Almantas Šerpatauskas (Director of the Study Quality Assessment Center), dr. Education Forum “Educating Ukrainian Children in Lithuania: Looking for Research-Based Solutions”
UkraineOn the 28th of April,  2022, the Educational Forum “Educating Ukrainian Children in Lithuania: Looking for Research-Based Solutions” was held. The introduction was given by Aistė Kairienė (Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania on Education, Science, Innovation and Non-Governmental Organisations), prof. dr. Oksana Zabolotna (President of the Association of Educational Researchers of Ukraine). Simultaneous interpretation in Lithuanian and Ukrainian was used. As many as five keynote speeches were presented. The first presentation “Models of Integration of Pupils from Migrant Families into Schools: Experiences and Solutions in European Countries” was given by dr. Barbara Stankevich (Analyst, Institute of Educational Research and Innovation), prof. dr. Jolanta Urbanovič (Vice President of the Lithuanian Association for Educational Research and Professor at Mykolas Romeris University). The second presentation “Ukrainian Models of Organising Children’s Education in Lithuanian Municipalities” was given by prof. dr. Daiva Jakavonytė-Staškuvienė (professor at Vytautas Magnus University, Inspector of preschool and primary education at the European Commission of the European Commission),  Kristina Paulikė (Methodologist at the National Agency for Education, Renata Bernotienė (Lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University). The third presentation, “We created a Classroom for Ukrainian Children: When Education Policy Decisions Chase Civic Initiatives” was given by sister Viktorija Voidogaitė (Ph.D. student, Vilnius University), Agnė Klimčauskaitė-Janavičienė (Representative of the Lithuanian-Ukrainian Educational Initiative). The fourth presentation “The First Month in Lithuanian Schools: Experiences of Ukrainian Children Fleeing the War” was given by dr. Aleksandra Batuchina (Associate Professor, Klaipėda University), dr. Milda Ratkevičienė (Researcher, Klaipėda University and Kaunas University of Technology). The fifth presentation “Ukrainian Children in Lithuanian Schools: How to Meet Their Needs?” was given by Nida Poderienė (Junior Researcher, Institute of Lithuanian Language), Aurelija Tamulionienė (Researcher, Institute of Lithuanian Language).  The discussion was attended by Aidas Aldakauskas (Director of the Department of Education Quality and Regional Policy, Ministry of Education, Science and Sport), Laura Juozaitytė (Senior Advisor to the Chancellery of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania), Nina Movčan (Principal of Dmitrushkivsky Lyceum, Cherkasy district, Ukraine), dr. Karolis Žibas (Integration Expert, United NationsHCR). The conclusion was given by prof. dr. Liudmila Rupšienė (President of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association) and prof. dr. Loreta Žadeikaitė (Chief Adviser, Department of Studies, Science and Technology,  Ministry of Education, Science and Sport). The forum was moderated by Ph.D. student  Vaiva Juškienė (Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Vilnius College, member of the Board of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association), Audronė Šuminienė (Adviser, Department of General Education, Division of Primary and Secondary Education, General Education Department). The forum was organised by the Lithuanian Educational Research Association (LERA), the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, and the Ukrainian Educational Research Association (UERA).

Education Forum ''Adolescents’ Academic Goals in the Context of Social Inequalities: When do Lacks Become Internal Resources?''

laboratorija On the 31 st of  March on 2022 the 14th Education Forum “Academic Goals of Adolescents in the Context of Social Inequality: When Do Lacks Become Internal Resources?” The forum was attended by over 100 participants. The introduction speech was given by dr. Rita Dukynaitė (Chief Adviser of the Strategic Programs Division of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania, Member of the PISA Board of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, Member of the General Assembly of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement). The keynote presentation “Adolescents’ academic goals in the context of social inequality: results of the ongoing research ”Goals Laboratory” was given by dr. Rasa Erentaitė (Senior Research Fellow, Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, Kaunas University of Technology, Head of the research projects “PaNel” and “NO-GAP”). The discussion was attended by Agnė Andriuškevičienė (Adviser to the Minister of Education, Science, and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania on General Education, Head of the Millennium Schools Programme), prof. dr. Jonas Ruškus (professor of the Department of Social Work, Vytautas Magnus University, member of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities), doc. dr. Jurga Bučaitė-Vilkė (Head of the Department of Sociology, Vytautas Magnus University), dr. Tadas Šarūnas (sociologist, analyst of cultural policy), assoc. prof. dr. Jūratė Valuckienė (Associate Professor, Institute of Regional Development, Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University, Head of the researchers’ group of the project “Time of Leaders 3”). The conclusions were drawn by prof. dr. Liudmila Rupšienė (President of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association), prof. dr. Loreta Žadeikaitė (Chief Advisor of the Department of Studies, Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education). The forum was moderated by doc. dr. Vilma Žydžiūnaitė presented the announcement “Specifics of Teacher Studies in Doctoral Studies: Models of Doctoral Studies and International Experience”. In the discussion participated Vilma Bačkiūtė (Adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania (Education, Science and Culture Group), dr. Mindaugas Nefas (Director of Vytautas Magnus University Lyceum Socratus), Inga Nekrošienė (Deputy Director of the Education Assistance Department of the National Education Agency), prof. hab. dr. Vilija Targamadzė (Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Education and Science of the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania). Conclusions were drawn by prof. dr. Liudmila Rupšienė (president of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association), prof. dr.
