On 7 March, we presented the books and personality of Dr Jonas Dautaras.

On 8 March, we started a permanent update of Facebook. Prof. Dr. A. Kiveris is responsible for communication.

On 19 May, in the hall of the Composers’ House, the publication of the monograph “Always Educate” by dr. prof. R. Aleknaitė-Bieliauskienė (composer, cultural manager Dalia Raudonikytė).

The Emeriti Section carried out a number of personal projects in 2023.

Prof. Irena Leliugienė Presented a paper at the LERA Conference, History of Education Section: “The Value of Social Education in an Educational System Undergoing Change”. This section was chaired by. Gratuitous guest lectures on social pedagogy for VDI professional studies students, MRUNI social work students, academics and the public, etc. Participated in the working group of the project “Promoting Citizenship and Community in Communities” in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. As an LMT expert, she evaluated applications for supervision of PhDs and dissertations. Prof. Leliugienė – ImLelkigienė – Supporter of Petrašiūnai Community Centre in Kaunas, Bočiai Society, Jauno raj. Patron of Gabrielius Gužis (13 years old), a student of the Music School, laureate of international competitions.

Prof. Jonas Dautaras, in order to complement the scientific book “Vytautas Soblys: In Memory of the First Director of the Pedagogical Institute of the Republic”, which was prepared in 2015, collected memoirs of Vytautas Soblys’s relatives and other persons, with the aim of preparing and publishing a book of memoirs about Vytautas Soblys illustrated with photographs in 2024.

“Mokslo Lietuvoje published an article entitled ‘Books about the Homeland: Bijotai: History, People, Works’.

He prepared a bibliography of publications and articles written and compiled on his pedagogical themes, covering more than 35 periods.

Prof. dr. Antanas Kiveris is widely involved in artistic activities. He has participated in concerts of the vocal ensembles “Romantikai” and “Ave Musica” of the Medards Čobotas University of the Third Century for the public of Lithuania and Vilnius, in presentations of authors’ books, in discussions; He has participated in book presentations and concerts for the public organized by the Musicians Support Foundation of Prof. Stasys Vainiūnas, etc..

Doc. Irena Čekmonienė assists the Ukrainian school. She donated her own Lithuanian grammar for foreign speakers, books and audio recordings for teaching Lithuanian language.

Prof. Marijona Barkauskaitė initiated and assisted in the awarding of the title of habil. dr. Meilė Lukšienė to the LEU Library and in the deliberations of the entries for the prize competition. She participated in the anniversary conferences and celebrations of Simonas Daukantas , First Youth School. She advises PhD students and collects materials for the history of the University of Latvia (LEU).

Prof. Juozas Uzdila has published articles on Antanas Kalanavičius, VPU (LEU) Prof. Vince Auryla, the history of the village of Mažučiai. Published on

Prof. Rita Aleknaitė-Bieliauskienė published over 50 articles in the cultural press (7 meno dienos, Santara, Muzikos barai, Lietuvos rytas, Voruta, Lietuvių godos).
