Participation in LETA 2023 Conference

On the 12th – 13th October, 2023, members of the Research Methodology Network participated in the LERA conference “EDUCATION AND TRAINING: THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY”, which was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association. During the conference were presented such key-notes:“Thinking Diversity in Educational Research, Re-Visting the Relationship Between Research and Practice” (President of the European Educational Research Association (EERA), prof. Marit Honerød Hoveid); “The path of the Lithuanian Educational Research Association: where did we start and where are we going?”(First President of LERA, prof. dr. Palmira Jucevičienė and current President of LERA, prof. dr. Liudmila Rupšienė); “Diversity of Representations of Educational Research in Research Papers” (prof. dr. Audra Skukauskaite, University of Central Florida); “The Different Child – the Black Swan of Lithuanian Education? Towards Transformative Equality” (prof. dr. Jonas Ruškus); “Why is a Physical Education Teacher Likely to Live Longer Than Teachers of Other Subjects?” (prof. dr. Arūnas Emeljanovas) “Diversity as (not) a Value in Today’s University: the View of Lithuanian Academics” (dr. Rūta Petkutė). Members of the “Research Methodology” network took part in discussions and strengthened the scientific community.

On the second day of the conference, activities took place in the “Research Methodology” section of the network. All those interested could listen to scientific presentations and participate in scientific discussions. The “Research Methodology” network section was moderated by Daiva Penkauskienė (Centre for Contemporary Didactics, Mykolas Romeris University) and Simona Kontrimienė (Vilnius University).
