About the speakers prof. dr. Lina Kaminskienė and prof. dr. Vilma Žydžiūnaitė

Prof. dr. Lina Kaminskienė has been working in the field of education since 1998.  Her topics of research and teaching are related to the development and implementation of educational innovations, self-government, personalized learning, teacher training and its functioning, teacher professional growth, vocational training and curriculum change. Since 2014 until 2021 – member and chair of more than ten dissertation defense committees. More than 40 scientific articles and book chapters have been published,  most of which are in international peer-reviewed journals. 3 monographs were prepared together with co-authors. She is a member of the editorial board of three scientific journals (Pedagogika (Q3, Scopus), International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education (Q1, Scopus), Sodobna pedagogika (Q3, Scopus)).

Prof. dr. Vilma Žydžiūnaitė is a professor at Vytautas Magnus University, a pioneer in the academic publicity of qualitative research methodology, the Grounded theory and qualitative research of the International Summer School in Lithuania. She holds 2 master’s degrees in Education (VMU) and Nursing (Karlskrona Technical Institute, Sweden) and 2 doctoral degrees in Education (KTU) and Nursing (University of Tampere, Finland). She is a Head of the School of Social Research, she  has led over 150 author’s methodological seminars for scientists, doctoral students, researchers, educators, nurses in Lithuania and  abroad. 
Publications: 157 scientific articles, 47 theses in international and national scientific publications, 9 monographs, 8 scientific studies, 2 textbooks for higher education, 19 methodological publications. More than 165 papers at international and national science / practice conferences have been read. Worked on 32 projects. As a research supervisor or research consultant, he supervised 19 successfully defended doctoral dissertations, 53 master’s and 56 bachelor’s theses. She opposed 15 dissertation defenses, participated in 28 dissertation defense councils. She  has won awards for the highest level of scientific output, the best scientific reports at scientific events abroad, and received the Nurse’s Badge of Honor for Merit in Nursing. 1996-2011 she represented Lithuania in the European Nurses’ Research Group (WENR). Her Research interests of the professor – educational management and leadership, higher education, professional identity, philosophy and values ​​of the profession, methodology of qualitative research.
