We invite representatives of educational sciences, researchers, doctoral students, representatives of general education and higher education institutions, education and science politics, analysts, all those affected by changes in education policy and education, quality of educational research, decision-making and improvement of educational practice.
Professor Rimantas Želvys, habilitated doctor, is a professor at the Institute of Educational Sciences of the Faculty of Philosophy of Vilnius University, the head of the Education Policy Center and a senior researcher at the Institute of Data Science and Digital Technologies of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.
The professor has been the Director of the Lithuanian Teacher Qualification Institute (1990–1991), the Head of the Department of Education at Vilnius University (1993–2003), the Vice-Rector for Research at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (2003–2013), and the World Bank, OECD and Expert and consultant to the European Commission on various educational projects in post-communist Eastern European and Central Asian countries. He was invited to give lecture series at the University of Latvia and the Universities of Kazakhstan – Silk Road International University in Shymkent; Al-Farabi National University, Abayan National Pedagogical University, Women’s National Pedagogical University in Almaty, Shakhar University in Semey; Zhansugurov University in Taldykorgan.
Research interests include educational management and policy, educational development, and reform.
The professor is the author of more than 120 scientific publications, 6 books and monographs.
